Project Description

A movie was selected by vote and then watched at Kathy's house while eating tasty treats like brownies and popcorn.

Event Preparation

Kathy Wong planned the event. No reservations were necessary as it was held at her apartment. Two different movies, Gattaca and Finding Nemo were checked out from Blockbuster that day. Brownies were made that morning and popcorn was prepared after people arrived. After waiting a bit to allow everyone to arrive, a vote was taken to chose the movie.

Problems Encountered

The date was changed because fencing was moved to the next week. Little notice was given for this change. (An email was sent out to the candidate and member list the evening before.) There were also minor technical difficulties with the DVD player.

Improvements Suggested

Make sure that if the date changes, that people are alerted earlier. The event was held on a holiday, which may have contributed to the low attendance.

Enjoyment

Everyone seemed to really like the movie (and the food, as there was none left by the end of the movie). Definitely worth doing again.
