| The District Conference is a good time to meet officers from other chapters and exchange ideas and discuss common problems. It is also a resource for the chapter to make sure it is up to speed regarding requirements and paperwork for nationals. | ||
Project Description
Tau Bates in the District met up for a District Conference to discuss and exchange ideas for starting off the semester at their respective schools. The District Directors also informed us of the requirements and paperwork necessary to file to Headquarters.
Event Preparation
Scott Fable and Tana Cicero, the District 15 Directors, emailed CA A Chapter President B. Love (as well as other chapter presidents) about the District Conference. B. Love. asked fellow officers if they would be interested in attending the Conference at San Jose State University. Our chapter actually did not have a part in putting on the Conference, but B. Love. attended it on behalf of the chapter.
Problems Encountered
none
Improvements Suggested
More officers could attend, but that is not necessary for the Fall District Conference. This is more of a gear up for the National Convention while the Spring District Conference is the one more officers should attend.
Enjoyment
It is important for at least the Chapter President to attend the District Conference to make sure the chapter is aware of requirements and deadlines set by nationals. It is also a good opportunity to meet with Tau Bates from other chapters and share ideas and see how they plan events and run their chapter.
