Advising officers plan and execute the Telebears Advising sessions, which are TBP's way to outreach to the Berkeley community and raise awareness of our organization.

Project Description

Advising officers are primarily responsible for planning and executing three Telebears Advising sessions that are open to the entire campus. Additionally, advising officers are responsible for maintaining the exam file.

Event Preparation

Advising officers coordinate the dates of the Advising sessions with the vps. The advising officers also coordinate with EJC officers to receive funding and publicity support. Preparing for the Advising sessions requires booking the Wozniak Lounge online, making and distributing flyers, making class announcements, and purchasing and preparing food.

Problems Encountered

Advising would have liked more people to attend the Advising sessions.

Improvements Suggested

Possible suggestions include moving the time and/or location of the Advising sessions. In regards to the exam file, advising would like to make all of the exams available electronically.

Enjoyment

Advising was a good way for officers and candidates to get to know each other as well as for TBP to help the Berkeley community.
