| Table of contents |
What is TBP?
Tau Beta Pi (TBP) is the oldest national engineering society in the country, and one of the most nationally recognized societies. TBP stresses personal character, scholarship, and service to the college, profession, and society.
TBP provides many valuable services to students. For example, TBP provides telebears advising, resume workshops, info sessions, research workshops, forums, and this guide.
How do I join?
Every semester, TBP invites the top fifth of the senior class and the top eight of the junior class from the engineering majors to join. Currently, all of the majors in the college of engineering and chemical engineering are considered engineering majors. However, due to a rule change, engineering science may not be considered an engineering major in the future.
After being invited to join, the students must complete a series of requirements in order to become a member.
