What is MSEA?

The Materials Science and Engineering Association (MSEA) at UC Berkeley is dedicated to helping students bridge the gap between education and employment. It sponsors tours of industry sites, lectures by materials science faculty and graduate students, as well as a number of social events. It provides students with the information necessary to make academic and career decisions and a social atmosphere in which they can exchange ideas with peers. In addition, its provides free tutoring, class scheduling advice, exam files, and other benefits to its members to help them get the most out of their time at Cal.

Who is Get MSEA for?

Membership includes Materials Science Engineering majors, as well as students pursuing double majors with other departments. Members and participants from all fields of study and levels of education are encouraged to join! If you want to become a member, all you have to do is send an email with your name, year, and major to its officer list (on homepage, see link below). In addition, it highly suggests you to become a member of ASM and TMS too. Students can get a joint ASM/TMS membership for only $25. With this membership you will get numerous amounts of ASM/TMS and MSEA benefits
